let us worry

let us worry
what has been
burrowed in a furrow
for Time has given us
  much to waste
and needless things
to want

++++++

there is much anger to have
  for all the efforts to grasp
what will run
through our fingers
and sink into dearth
++++

searching for a grain of truth
in an oasis we cannot see

+

our cares call
our labours hinder
our hesitations stunt
our hearts sink
and limbs fail

+++

what soul remains then for the
heaven that we seek?

+

who knows
what failure remains
unfurled?
what happiness
will miss the
chance of alluding us?

++++++++

    Exactly! Excellent! So many needless things to be convinced that we want… Grasp at any or all of them; none will last… Blind to the paradise that surrounds us. Very wise poem!

      Thank you Zorgor =) though poetry can be interpreted/resonate in different ways for different people, “blind to the paradise that surrounds us” sums up quite nicely what my original thoughts were.

    This seems so sad…
