idle today

A swath of time

gels into stillness

and i wonder why

there are days like this

where i know there is nothing

gained from being knowingly idle

and yet i cannot resist…

the depths i’ve sunk into

are not worth struggling against

and so i burrow in further…

and let decay glaze over my eyes

and let the stifling air sit heavy upon my stiffened limbs

as resentment spreads like spores…

Eh, it’s called ‘being tired’. Don’t beat yourself up so much for occasional idleness…

I hope I haven’t completely missed the point of this one…

nope it’s hard to miss the point…because what you see creates just a whole new meaning…but just so you know u didn’t miss it =) Thanks for the encouragement!

While this may not be happy I still love it… Perhaps I just have felt the very same thing and love to know that I am not the only one.

Coelho writes that it’s good to sit idle so we can listen to our inner selves communicate with us 🙂
