not broken

even before i begin to delude myself

i know there was a reason i left

and struggled so hard to escape

a reason why i fought so hard to go

a freedom that was wrought out of so many fears

a sanctuary beseechingly sought within +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

i will not return

for i am mended

not broken

i am stronger

not broken

i am healed

not broken

i am whole

not broken

I am me

not broken

I am I

not broken

+++++++++++

there are no lost pieces

for you

to find

  1. Just reread this…yes, we have to return to our Center–where we meet the LOVE of God–our Wholeness–at least that is it for me…we fully accepted as we are…

    Not fixed but always complete.

this is really evocative & it rings true. Made me think of Elizabeth Lesser ‘s “Broken Open” tho u’ve broken whole.

  4. clarabetty says:

I like how you emphasize that you are not broken and the ways you are not. We can feel broken, but we are not and many times it surprises us that we come thru our trials “more whole” instead of “more broken”- that might not be good English.

    7 THINGS ABOUT ME!

1-I am very grateful that I was born…”to Be…for this Yahweh created all.” Wisdom 1:14 —this about the only Biblical numerical reference I know! When in the convent, I would reference the Bible with: “Somewhere in the Bible, it says…” LOL

2-I try to be remain open to love, the gift of friendship –I have been blessed with GOOD FRIENDS!

3-I am so grateful for every day of my life – even the days I struggle – those days help me to grow and to be empathetic towards others and I do realize that most people are fighting some kind of battle…either internally or externally each day.

4-I am so grateful for Lara, Annie and Sara–my three lovely daughters–and my precious grandchildren–Ayden and Nadia. I am grateful for the many friends that have enriched my life!

    5-I try to live compassion.

6-I love to laugh! I love to make other people laugh and smile…and realize I should put more joy in my writing, which tends to be quite serious.

7-I loved to teach [36 years]…I miss it greatly…my students enriched my life so much…and now I am transitioning into being a writer…a painter on canvas…and a better lover of myself and humankind in our ocean of water-life~!

My wish for all of my friends and fellow bloggers on WordPress, continued success in your writing…and our mutual desire to be with one another through our words…to write words to share who we are…to bring us all closer to truth, love and to each other in our world of water bubbles!

  6. it is a long journey to find oneself…to stop being the seeker of love to make one whole…we have to find our wholeness in ourselves…yes—you have done it! Beautiful!

  7. Eric Alagan says:

Good one, I liked this very much. No matter what, we always remain whole.

    Peace, Eric
