Many paths lay

“Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.” – Robert Frost

Many paths lay
swerving towards the horizon
Yet sir what of leaving
The Way?

The rushes shush
And the catkins shyly nod
No lane weaves through
No clearing announces
Its presence

And yet it beckons
An Oasis that
Asks through the
Whispering wind
for
Its existence
To be found.

  1. Soul Walker says:

Frost is one of my favourites. This is lovely. I hope it is not too bad that I do not think I understand what the poem is about and like it. I do so like a bit of mystery.

  2. Love the catkins reference.

And the last stanza is just great.
