Never be me

You told me today you needed me now

But only in parts

And only after realizing others could not be me.

They will never be me…

They will never see you as i did

Or make you feel as special

But they may settle for what i never could.

  1. […] to the computer, I started reading recent posts. One that struck me was a poem posted by QueridaJ, intotheindigo, called Never Be Me. I could hear it in my head as I read it, and I decided to record it to hear […]

Mr. Tim!! What a pleasant surprise! ☺️☺️ Happy New Year!! Wish you so the good things!! And thank-you I did not think it had a rhythmic sound but declarative it is.

      • I’ve been quiet for a long time. I let myself get out of the habit of blogging since the summer. Too much work and a creative funk got the best of me. I had a simple writing project that consumed way more of my time and energy than it should have, but it’s done now.

I recorded myself reading your poem so I could hear it. It does have a great rhythm. I’m sure it would be better in your voice.

        Happy New Year to you!

Congratulations on finishing your project, when it comes to writing it’s never really simple. I would love to hear that recording! Please do post it!

          • I spent the last two days trying to write a post. I finally finished it. I’m posting it with the recording, and linking it to your blog. I recorded it with my phone so the quality isn’t the best. I hope it doesn’t disappoint. I’d love to hear you and other people read it. Thank you for the poem and allowing me to post my rendition of it,

            Tim
