let me live my life as a leaf

let me live my life as a leaf.
let me lift and leave as they do.
they beg not to let go of limb…
but they go nevertheless, their greeness outgrown.
their brightness only crumbling to rustling brown bits
as i watch whether trampler will rake them back to me…
they do not stay as i do.
i alone cannot bear for each of them to go.
leaving me so bare and barren once more.
let eternal winter slay me through once.
lashes no more, no one hears my white muffled cries.
crack me in two and be done with your icy touch.
let not Spring come again with her adornments,
they mean nothing to me no more.
Sultry Summer with her,
blush of petit sweet offerings.
my bitterness ever taints them…
carressing eyes yet shriveling tongues.
etch not your beloveds upon me…
i promise your parting,
under my very boughs.

In vain

Trying in vain
to make a polygon
out of plasticine…

i try to make a
head out of a tail
yet all i see is a circle

i float up steps
that lead to
no nearer
to the edge
yet no further
from falling

i follow a line
disguised as a
dot and for some
reason i know
i’ve come to the
end of a beginning

ender

an ender should not dread the end

reaper of all, you sowed once too

a guide for the died

what fear is there

for the destined real?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

you will be summoned

you will appear

be drawn to my wavering soul

suspended above my shallow shell

and dear death

once ago

and once again

 become

enfleshed

let me live my life as a leaf

Into the New and Beyond…Here’s Wishing Everyone A Happy New Year!!

Let it be
Let it be
Let it be

my little mantra
whispers gaily to itself
trudging softly yet bravely along
to a cheerful little tune
that only it seems to hear

so very young
but wise beyond its cooing years
knowing what is within its reach
and what all will never be
and still announcing sagely with
cherubish glee:

Let it be
Let it be
Let it be
